Delete your HealthKin account

You can permanently delete your HealthKin account and every medical record tied to it at any time. Choose the option that works best for you - both routes lead to the same outcome.

Option 1 - From inside the app

Recommended. The deletion is verified, immediate for live data, and you keep the option to export everything first.

Web app

  1. Sign in at app.healthkin.io.
  2. Open Settings from the side menu.
  3. Scroll to the "Delete account" section at the bottom.
  4. (Optional) Export your data as a JSON file first.
  5. Enter your password, type DELETE in the confirmation field, and submit.

Mobile app

Android & iOS
  1. Open HealthKin and sign in.
  2. Go to the Profile tab.
  3. Tap "Delete account".
  4. Enter your password, type DELETE to confirm, and submit.

Option 2 - By email

Use this if you can't sign in or no longer have access to the app.

Email support@healthkin.io from the address you registered with. Use the subject "Account deletion request" and mention the email tied to the HealthKin account if it differs. We verify the request and complete it within 30 days, in line with GDPR Article 17.

What gets deleted

  • Account credentials - email, password hash, MFA secrets, refresh tokens.
  • Your personal profile, avatar, and language settings.
  • Health profiles you created for every family member.
  • Every medical record, attachment, and uploaded PDF or image (including files in object storage).
  • Family memberships, invitations, and any sharing relationships you set up.
  • Consent records, notification preferences, and active sessions.

What may be retained, and for how long

  • Encrypted database and storage backups for up to 30 days after deletion. Backups are not searchable, are not user-accessible, and are purged on schedule.
  • Anonymized security and audit logs required by law. They no longer contain personal data and follow standard Polish bookkeeping retention rules.

Timing

In-app deletion is immediate for live data. Email-based deletion completes within 30 days. Backup purge follows automatically within 30 days of the live deletion.
